Its Christmas.
Well folks it’s that time of year, yep in case you did not notice its Christmas. I hope by this time your presents are bought, wrapped and under the tree. I must admit I still have a little wrapping to be done.
The GAU Team.
This past year has been a busy one with lots of things happening in the GAU team. We have seen old friends move on to pastures new and new folk join our ever-expanding team.
For those who have left I want to say a massive personal thank you. Your work has been incredible, you started as colleagues and then became friends. Your energy and commitment on GAU’s behalf have been wonderful. Vanessa and I thank you from the very bottom of our hearts. We wish you all the very best for your future.
For those joining the team, we welcome you into the GAU family and we are a family. I am sure you will bring ideas, advice and opportunities to GAU and add to the wonderful meld of people we have. I look forward to working with you.
Vanessa and I want to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of the team for their sterling work this past year. We have had one or two bumps in the road; however, we have come through them with flying colours. Vanessa and I are super excited by the Poetry Competition and all the other things we have planned. We are really looking forward to the New Year and getting back on tour.
The Schools
To The students, support staff and teachers we have met in the many schools we have visited, you have been amazing. GAU would not exist without your understanding, compassion and empathy. The inspiration, strength and heart I take from you keeps me going. The conversations we have had, questions asked and the many hugs (I like the hugs) have been exceptional. You fill me with enthusiasm because I know that you are going to make the world a better place.

So, this year is on its way out, the new year approaches, new opportunities come our way, new hands to shake, new schools to visit. We all at GAU are looking forward to the new year and I look forward to meeting you.
